What ever happened to self respect?

Yesterday, we were coming back home after running some errands and we saw a group of very young girls, no older than 16 all waring bikini tops and booty shorts advertising a car wash that they had going on. I got so angry because these are little girls dressed this way in the middle of the street screaming, jumping up and down, holding up signs for a car wash. Do the parents not know that there are perverts out there? and do they even care? Call me old fashion, a prude whatever you want but little girls dressed like they were on an add for girls gone wild in the middle of the street is just not appropriate. Then if some guy makes a pass at them, they are the perverts. I'm probably going to get attacked for what I am about to say, but a lot of women feel like they have a right to do whatever they want, but no one has a right to do anything to them.

Is like that that woman that last year grabbed Tim Mcgraw's balls at a concert. Had he turned around and grab her tits, she would've filed a law suit and probably filed charges against him. Does that sound fair to anybody? cause it doesn't sound fair to me at all. A lot of us are running around asking for respect and to be treated a certain way but how can anybody respects us when we don't respect ourselves?

The joys of potty training

ahh the joys of potty training, I just love have to repeat myself over and over again, make the word Potty, such an essential part of my vocabulary, but must of all I LOVE the smell of urine on my carpet in the morning. It makes me feel like I'm back in new york, smack in the middle of the 42nd st 1 train station waiting for my train. NOOOOOOOT!!! aghhh when will this end my DS is Three years old and maybe I'm being too harsh on him but if you guys see him you will agree with me that he needs to be going potty already. He is very tall and just big so big in fact that diapers don't fit him anymore. They are constantly ripping. Granted, he is making an effort but if he is watching TV he doesn't want to go potty and of course wants to go on his underpants. Please people keep my sanity in your prayers because I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to keep it.

About me

I'm a 30 yr old working mom of two and loving wife to the craziest man on earth. I never thought I would be posting a blog but I got curious and decided to try this blogging thing. I'll try not to bore you guys to much, and hopefully I will be able to post from my Blackberry that way I can ost mor stuff hehe. Ok so back to about me, well I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, came to this country when I was onl 10 yrs old and I have been here ever since. I got a degree in corporate and cable communications which is currently collecting dust somewhere in my closet.

I work for a telecommunications company as a training assitant, in other words, I get yelled and cussed at for living by angry customers who ask to speak to a supervisor (sigh). Therefore I am desperatly trying to become a momtrepenour (sp?) and start my own home base business. Im currently living in good ol' Texas but I grew up in New York City in the Washington Heights area. I lived in Pa for like three years and ever since my husband had his accident we moved over here. My husband is of puerto rican descent born in Mass.

hmmm lets see what else can I tell you about me? oh yeah I'm a breastfeeding mama but I'm not fanatical about it. I'm a firm believer in to each his own. if you feel that formula feeding is what is best for you then please by all means go right ahead and do so as long as you don't try to put me down for my decision to breastfeed.

Oh and I'm sure you guys would like to know about the name of my blog. ok and even if you don't I'm going to tell you anyway, 2 culturas means 2 cultures and I thought about that name because my children are both Dominican and puerto rican (domiricans). As similar as these two cultures are they can be very different as well. I thought about this because one day while still living in Pa, we went to a Puerto Rican festival and we saw a whole bunch of t-shirts that said puerto rican, or dominican, but I couldn't find one. So I said to myself:"self, why don't you get on the internet and try to find out if there is a way for you to make t-shirts like that" and that's when I started my online store by the same name. Then as I started creating the designs, I started making different designs not just for Domiricans but for people who are biracial period.

ok I think that's it for now. Hey this whole blogging thing ain't half bad, I might become addicted to it. bye for now
